The Golden Eagles were named to the 48-team NCAA Division II playoff field, marking the first time in the program’s history that a Cal State L.A. women’s soccer team has qualified for the NCAA postseason.
Cal State L.A., coming off an impressive performance in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Tournament, earned the No. 6 seed in the Far West Region and will face No. 3 Chico State in a first-round game on Friday at 1 p.m. at No. 2 seed Seattle University.
The winner of the Cal State L.A. – Chico State game will face Seattle in a second-round game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
